59. High Fidelity

Kaylia and Leah talk about this very popular coming-of-age story about a 35-year-old man. More than just one of the best book-to-film adaptations ever made (thanks to John Cusack), the book is a living symbol of the longevity (?) importance (?) symbolism (?) of Pop music. And yes, the book IS pop music. But more than that the story deals with the shifting gender politics of the 90s, the focus of the man in the rom-com genre, and let’s not forget the music, the music, the music. Plus we gush about the amazing casting. Enjoy!
