In this episode Kaylia and Cynthia chat about this funny book/film about suicide. Also, was Sonja an angel, a cat, a long suffering woman trapped in a (borderline) abusive relationship, a manic pixie dream saint? Maybe all of the above? Listen now as Kaylia mangles Swedish names and Cynthia channels her inner Ove/Otto.

A Man Called Ove (Swedish: En man som heter Ove, pronounced [ɛn ˈmanː sɔm ˈhěːtɛr ˈǔːvɛ]) is a novel by Swedish writer Fredrik Backman published in Swedish by Forum in 2012. The novel was published in English in 2013 and reached the New York Times Best Seller list 18 months after its publication and stayed on the list for 42 weeks.
It has been adapted into two films: A Man Called Ove, which premiered in Sweden on 25 December 2015, with Rolf Lassgård in the leading role, and A Man Called Otto, released on 30 December 2022, with Tom Hanks in the leading role.
A Man Called Otto is a 2023 comedy-drama film directed by Marc Forster from a screenplay by David Magee. It is the second film adaptation of the 2012 novel A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman after the 2015 Swedish film of the same name. The film stars Tom Hanks in the title role, with Mariana Treviño, Rachel Keller, and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo.
