Death on the Nile is a work of detective fiction by British writer Agatha Christie, published in the UK by the Collins Crime Club on 1 November 1937 and in the US by Dodd, Mead and Company the following year.  The book features the Belgian detective Hercule Poirot. The action takes place in Egypt, mostly on the River Nile.

Agatha Christie’s Poirot) is a British mystery drama television programme that aired on ITV from 8 January 1989 to 13 November 2013. David Suchet starred as the eponymous detective, Agatha Christie‘s fictional Hercule Poirot. Initially produced by LWT, the series was later produced by ITV Studios. The series also aired on VisionTV in Canada and on PBS and A&E in the United States.

The program ran for 13 series and 70 episodes in total; each episode was adapted from a novel or short story by Christie that featured Poirot, and consequently, in each episode, Poirot is the main detective in charge of the investigation of a crime (usually murder) and the protagonist who is at the center of most of the episode’s action.

Season 9, Episode 3 is “Death on the Nile” Apparently you can watch it for free on youtube… which I wish I had noticed before we bout it off of Prime. But I guess now we own it… FOREVER!

Death on the Nile is a 2022 mystery film directed by Kenneth Branagh from a screenplay by Michael Green, based on the 1937 novel of the same name by Agatha Christie, and the second big screen adaptation of Christie’s novel, following the 1978 film. It was produced by Branagh, Ridley ScottJudy Hofflund and Kevin J. Walsh, as a sequel to 2017’s Murder on the Orient Express. It stars an ensemble cast with Branagh and Tom Bateman reprising their roles as Hercule Poirot and Bouc, respectively, alongside Annette BeningRussell BrandAli FazalDawn FrenchGal GadotArmie HammerRose LeslieEmma MackeySophie OkonedoJennifer Saunders and Letitia Wright.
